Imperial Gold is owner of a portfolio of advanced gold exploration and development assets. We have two such projects in California and are currently working to bring over $1.1 billion in investment to California and Imperial County. This is a generational economic development opportunity for the Valley, one that will create over 500 construction and 220 permanent jobs over the course of our work.
We are building on the more than 150-year tradition of gold mining in Imperial County, but with modern practices and under modern laws that are some of the strongest in the world. Our project will set a new standard for mine reclamation by backfilling the mine, meaning no lingering open pit, and no impact to the landscape of the Imperial Valley. We will be the first mine in California to operate under these strict requirements and are proud to do so.
